Newsletter subscriptions
When you subscribe, this website stores your email address, your name if supplied, your consent time, and your subscription status. You are added to the active mailing list only after you confirm by email. Subscription details are used to manage and send GRIDiNFY newsletters, not displayed on public pages.
Unsubscribe or request deletion
Every subscriber newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also request access, correction or deletion by contacting contact@gridinfy.com. An authorised administrator can remove subscriber data and associated locally stored emails.
Blog comments
Commenting requires only a name and a message, not an email address or a visitor account. Your chosen name and comment become public when approved, or immediately when the administrator has disabled pre-approval. Names are self-declared and are not verified identities. An administrator may hide or delete comments. Please do not include personal contact details or confidential project information in a comment.
To request removal of a comment, contact contact@gridinfy.com with the article link, the name used, approximate date and a description of the comment. Requesting removal does not require a website account. Comments are retained until removed by the administrator; rejected and spam comments can also be deleted from the moderation area.
Likes and view counts
A first-party reader cookie, gridinfy_reader, is used for blog engagement. It contains a random signed identifier, is not accessible to page JavaScript, and expires after 180 days. The database stores a separate keyed hash for each article rather than the cookie value. One active like is allowed per browser and article, and you can click again to remove it. A view is counted after an article has been open in a visible tab briefly, at most once per browser and article in 24 hours. Signed-in administrator visits and recognised bots are excluded.
Counts are approximate website activity, not verified people, lifetime unique visitors, LinkedIn reactions or historical data from an older website. Different devices, deleted cookies and unrecognised bots can affect the figures. Short-lived detailed view identifiers are cleaned after two days during startup or activity; totals are retained. Like identifiers are retained to remember likes and removed when a like is undone. Comment anti-spam identifiers are cleared after 30 days during startup or activity; comment text and name remain until deleted. Reading is possible with cookies blocked, but likes, counting and comment submission may not work.
LinkedIn embeds and social sharing
The website displays a curated selection of public GRIDiNFY LinkedIn post links. It does not automatically mirror the LinkedIn company feed. An embedded post connects to LinkedIn only after you choose “Load LinkedIn post.” At that point LinkedIn may receive your IP address, browser information and its own cookies and may require you to sign in. You can hide the embed; this removes it from the page but does not erase information already sent to LinkedIn.
Sharing buttons open your chosen social service with the public article link for you to review. Nothing is posted automatically. Third-party privacy terms apply after you open those services. “More apps” uses your device’s sharing interface where supported. Copy link copies the address locally.
Cookies and storage
This website uses an essential session cookie for security, subscription forms and administrator login. The homepage may remember your decorative-animation preference in browser storage. This package includes no advertising pixels or third-party analytics.
Administrator access
Administrator account details and password hashes are stored privately. Sign-ins and publishing actions are recorded in an administrative activity log. The website also stores short-lived, hashed request-rate identifiers to limit misuse.
Email delivery
When live email delivery is configured, messages and recipient addresses pass through the operator’s chosen email service. Until then, the local preview application stores emails privately on the hosting computer rather than sending them. Public operation requires the operator to configure the delivery service and review retention arrangements.
Project enquiries
The enquiry form sends your name, reply email, optional organisation and phone, service selection and message directly to the website server. After verification, it stores an enquiry record and queues an email to the administrator-configured team address (initially enquiry@gridinfy.com). Your email address is used as Reply-To, not as the authenticated sender, and is not publicly displayed or automatically subscribed to newsletters. Records and locally stored email copies remain until an administrator deletes them. Email copies already accepted by the mail provider must be managed there separately. A successful form receipt confirms storage and queuing, not final inbox delivery.
Human verification
When you choose “Verify & enable sending”, Cloudflare Turnstile loads to check the enquiry for automated abuse. Cloudflare may receive network and browser information needed for that check. The website validates the returned token on its server and checks its hostname and action. No CAPTCHA system guarantees that every accepted request is human. Local preview verification is a development-only test and cannot be used on a public website.
Website visitor count
The displayed counter is an approximate count of browsers since this feature was enabled, not verified people or a historical total. It uses the existing signed, 180-day first-party reader cookie. Hashed browser identifiers are kept for up to 180 days since last activity; daily identifiers are retained for two days, and aggregate totals are retained. Known bots and signed-in administrators are excluded. DNT or Global Privacy Control requests are not counted by the site-wide counter. A page view is counted at most once for the same browser and path in 30 seconds. Clearing or expiring cookies, using another device, blocked scripts and unrecognised bots affect the counts. Administrators can pause counting or hide the counter. No raw IP addresses are stored in the visitor tables.
